Back to normal: Trade show projects at ITMA Asia, Chinaplas and AutoShanghai
The trade show business is back in China. While the first events are still being planned in Europe, it’s almost back to business as usual in China. We are also involved through our branch office in Shanghai. In the past few weeks, we have assisted customers at several internationally renowned trade shows, including ITMA Asia in Shanghai, Chinaplas in Shenzhen and AutoShanghai.
In mid-June, we implemented the new trade show concept at ITMA Asia for our new customer KARL MAYER. For its first real trade show appearance since the beginning of the pandemic, the KARL MAYER Group also focused on its customers in other parts of the world. Closeness to all its customers is particularly important to this global player during the current corona crisis. mac designed the 420-square-meter stand at its headquarters in Germany, collaborating with the Chinese team on the project. The result confirms the high expectations in terms of quality and project management, and we are looking forward to our continued cooperation.
The 34th International Chinaplas took place in Shenzhen in early April. With around 3,600 exhibitors, this exhibition for the plastics and rubber industry is one of the largest trade shows in Asia. At the show, we assisted a number of local companies along with exhibitor Windmöller und Hölscher, a German expert for flexible packaging and exhibitor there for many years. With smooth teamwork, we successfully implemented the approximately 130-square-meter booth for the customer in a joint effort between headquarters and the Shanghai branch.
AutoShanghai has been held since 1985 and it is one of the leading trade shows for the global automotive industry. As the exhibition took place for the 19th time, more than 1,000 exhibitors from 20 countries took part, covering a total area of around 360,000 square meters. mac was responsible for the implementation of 8 projects ranging from 20 to 550 square meters.
