fwd: founds regional office in Rhineland-Palatinate
The development of a regional network is one of the strategic cornerstones of the fwd: Bundesvereinigung Veranstaltungswirtschaft. A first step in this direction was taken with the founding of the Rhineland-Palatinate state representation. The aim is to facilitate direct dialog with politicians and to represent the interests of the industry at local and state level.
Further representations in several federal states are planned for the coming months. The fwd: State Representation Rhineland-Palatinate will now start work immediately and continue crisis communication with politicians and the state government. In addition to its political work, the state representation will strengthen the regional network of the event industry. The organization has had its predecessors since October 2020 in the #AlarmstufeRot initiative in Rhineland-Palatinate.

At the founding meeting in the Kulturei Mainz, the board of the regional representation was unanimously elected by the founding members. In future, Bernard vom Bauer, Project Manager at Atmosphere GmbH, will take over as Chairman of the Board. “In less than a year, we have managed to make ourselves visible as an event industry. We must continue to follow this path consistently and persistently – and we will do this regionally in Rhineland-Palatinate with immediate effect by founding the state representation,” says vom Bauer. The self-employed sound engineer Johannes Götten is the deputy chairman. Stefan Trieb, Managing Director of mac Messe- und Ausstellungscenter Service GmbH, was also elected as a member of the board. The other participants in the inaugural meeting were Alexander Hahner, Yannick Gerber and Andreas Schiedlofsky, Party Rent Group, Oliver Thiel, sound engineer, Jan Kalbfleisch, Managing Director of fwd:, and Thomas Spanier, Managing Director of Flo Service GmbH.
