mac generates 67 million euros in sales in the restart year 2022

mac. brand spaces GmbH, the specialist for live communication, achieved a strong financial year in 2022 with a turnover of 67 million euros. “Last year was challenging, but very rewarding,” says mac CEO Stefan Trieb. While the first four months were still affected by the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus crisis, business rose sharply thereafter. He adds: “We kept our team together through the coronavirus crisis, were prepared for the course of business and came out of the crisis very well.”

mac has maintained its performance across all departments undiminished and even expanded it through process optimization and extensive investments. With in-house, high-performance production, the Langenlonsheim-based company also works very independently of the supplier market. “We have made mac fit for the transformation of the traditional trade fair business into a creative, sustainable and efficient combination of real and virtual live events. We have acquired exciting new customers and invested heavily in the future,” says Trieb. In total, mac invested 4.7 million euros in machinery, equipment, IT and sustainability during the two years of the coronavirus crisis.

The successful brand transformation to “mac. brand spaces”, which was consistently implemented in the company during the pandemic, is now paying off. “How the customer presents itself at the trade fair, what the stand looks like, is the result of an intensive process,” explains Alexander Ody, Director Business Development. mac is the full-service provider for staging brands in space. “It’s about storytelling and brand architecture, holistic consulting, developing and contouring entire brands in space,” says Ody.

The company is also on the right track with the expansion of its sustainability strategy.”The demand for advice and concepts in this area is high,” says Trieb.”One question is: how sustainably can the appearance be produced and realized? There is also another aspect: the customer wants to present their own stance on this socially relevant topic and possibly link it to their brand values,” explains Trieb.

mac is directing a considerable part of its investments towards a sustainable future. With its own photovoltaic system, the second construction phase of which will follow this year, mac will generate a large proportion of its electricity requirements itself.The switch to energy-saving lighting in the
lighting in the 62,000 square meter production and warehouse saves a lot of energy. Wood waste from production is burned in the company’s own plant and provides heat. Long delivery routes and transportation costs in the supply chain are avoided. Trieb: “From the initial design to production and delivery, all work steps are carried out centrally in one place.” The company provides information on all measures in its annual Sustainability Report.
