mac. brand spaces appoints Katja Sassi-Bucsit to its executive board
mac. brand spaces is realigning its international growth strategy. Effective April 1, 2026, Katja Sassi-Bucsit was appointed to the Executive Board as an authorized signatory. With the newly created position of Director of International Growth, the company is responding to the growing demands of globally active brands as well as the increasing international expansion of Chinese companies in particular.
At mac, Katja Sassi-Bucsit will be responsible for the strategic and operational expansion of the group’s international activities. A key focus will be on further developing the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The Singapore office is to be further strengthened as a strategic hub for the APAC region. At the same time, she will oversee the realignment of the existing branches in China and will work to systematically expand international client relationships.
The manager has many years of experience in leadership roles at brand experience service providers in China and Germany. Throughout her career, she has managed internationally acclaimed projects and overseen complex live communication and experiential formats in a global context. Her profile combines market knowledge in Europe and Asia with hands-on operational experience.
CEO Stefan Trieb points to the dynamics of international markets. Chinese companies, in particular, are increasingly operating globally, thereby changing expectations regarding the speed and quality of brand experiences. With Katja Sassi-Bucsit, mac is gaining a leader who understands and can further develop international structures. The goal is to more closely integrate strategic objectives with operational implementation and make them internationally scalable.
