mac. brand spaces Publishes 2026 Sustainability Report
The foundation of sustainability management is the management system for sustainable event management, which is certified to ISO 20121:2024. Compared to the previous year, ESG management has been further systematized through a two-part materiality analysis. This process systematically identifies both the impacts of business activities on the environment and society, as well as relevant risks and opportunities for the company’s development.
Another focus of the report is on climate protection measures. mac. brand spaces tracks and evaluates emissions throughout project processes and continuously expands the data set used for CO₂ calculations. Factors taken into account include energy consumption, material usage, transportation routes, and other project-related sustainability metrics. At the Langenlonsheim site, for example, wood waste is used for heating. This results in an average annual reduction of approximately 600 metric tons of CO₂ compared to a system relying solely on natural gas.

Other areas of focus in the sustainability strategy include material cycles, sustainable procurement, occupational safety, training and continuing education, and collaboration with suppliers and partners. One development during the reporting period was the company’s certification for the international industry initiative Better Stands. Starting in 2026, this initiative will support the structured evaluation of more sustainable trade show concepts based on criteria such as reuse, waste reduction, and transparent standards for trade show booths.
Another major area of focus—and one that has now also received recognition—is health management. For its comprehensive health package, which is tailored to the needs of the workforce, the company received the TÜV Saarland Gold Seal for the first time, as well as the “Qualified Health Management – Healthy Company Gold” certificate. The award is recertified every two years and serves as recognition of the company’s health management program for approximately 327 employees at the Langenlonsheim location. mac has previously received these honors in bronze and silver.
With its 2026 Sustainability Report, mac. brand spaces continues its voluntary sustainability reporting and provides customers, partners, and industry stakeholders in the trade show, event, and live communication sectors with current key metrics and information on the ongoing development of its sustainability processes.
