mac. brand spaces welcomes 14 new entry-level employees
Nine apprentices started on August 1—five dual-track students will follow in October
mac. brand spaces is welcoming a total of 14 new trainees and students for the 2026 training and academic year. Nine trainees began their training on August 1 at the company’s headquarters in Langenlonsheim. Five dual-track students will join them on October 1.
The new trainees are starting in six different professions: Two of them are training to become carpenters, and two are training to become painters and finishers. One trainee each is beginning training as an electronics technician, an IT specialist, an industrial clerk, and an event technology specialist.
The five dual-track students will begin their studies in various degree programs in October. Three are pursuing a degree in business administration with a focus on trade show, convention, and event management. One student each is studying wood technology and accounting, taxes, and business law with a focus on accounting and controlling. Among the 14 new trainees, there are five women and nine men.
“We are very pleased to have recruited 14 young people this year for an apprenticeship or a dual degree program at mac. At the same time, it’s clear that recruiting young talent is becoming increasingly challenging, and the situation varies depending on the job profile,” says Stefan Trieb, CEO of mac. brand spaces. “This makes it all the more important to establish personal contacts early on and give young people the opportunity to get to know our company and the various career paths for themselves.”
Feedback from the new apprentices also highlights just how important personal connections can be. Many reported that positive experiences during the application process, an internship, or a trial day influenced their decision to join mac. brand spaces. The positive work environment, friendly atmosphere, and personal interactions were mentioned particularly often.
In addition to hands-on training, mac. brand spaces offers attractive benefits. These include a training stipend in accordance with collective bargaining agreements, a year-end bonus and vacation pay, 30 days of vacation, as well as company health insurance and a retirement plan. The package is supplemented by various health benefits, a subsidy for the Deutschlandticket, and a bonus for particularly strong training performance. Good performance also leads to high chances of being hired and opportunities for professional and personal development. Dual-track students also receive a subsidy for rent and meals.
For mac. brand spaces, recruiting qualified young talent remains an ongoing priority. This year’s recruitment efforts show that the applicant pool varies depending on the job profile, and that reaching out to candidates early on is becoming increasingly important.
“Feedback from our new trainees in particular shows us that personal experiences and a positive work environment play an important role in their decision to choose a company for their apprenticeship,” says Ann-Cathrin Fuchs. “That’s why we want to continue reaching out to young people early on and give them authentic insights into our work environment.”
